The three courses of the series Processes and Organisation deal with best practices for operating nuclear power plants, building new plants and decommissioning nuclear facilities. Participants will get familiar with both the technical and administrative processes and the organizational solutions to be implemented in these areas in view of achieving high-level industrial and safety standards.
The three courses of the series Energy Economics and Policy cover energy economics of nuclear power, business economics for NPPs and the dialogue with politics and the public. Participants will learn facts and basic interdependencies determining the role of nuclear energy for the overall energy supply, economic concepts and business practices under NPP conditions as well as concepts for successful communication of nuclear energy issues in political and societal contexts.
Main target groups are university graduates and junior academic staff in nuclear organizations. The program may also be used for the nuclear re-education of engineers and scientists working in non-nuclear fields. The courses are developed for an international audience and aim at conveying a broad spectrum of high-level, practice-based knowledge for academic professionals starting to work in the field of nuclear energy. The lecturers are high-level experts with longstanding experience in industry, expert or research organisations, public authorities, or international bodies. Theoretical subjects are taught by university professors.
All courses can be booked individually or in blocks. Attached you will find the course flyer and the preliminary program as well as the registration form. Further information and registration form will be provided on our website www.isar.tum.de/courses .
