International perspective

On the international scene, the BNEN Consortium was one of the very first to offer a nuclear engineering programme where nationwide expertise was gathered and combined with the possibilities in infrastructure and access to operating reactors in a nuclear research centre.

BNEN served as a role model for the European Nuclear Education Network (ENEN Association), which now has become an association of about twenty universities cooperating with the European stakeholders (industry, regulators, research centres), aiming at facilitating mobility in Europe for students in nuclear engineering.

Students that enroll for at least 20 ECTS of courses in a foreign university, receive an ENEN certificate next to their BNEN degree.
