BNEN visit to HADES

On Monday November 13, 2023, the students of BNEN visited the HADES underground laboratory in the framework of the training course 'Nuclear Fuel Cycle'.
In this laboratory SCK CENs scientists have been conducting research into geological disposal of long-lived and/or high-level waste for 40 years, 225 metres deep in the Boom Clay.
The underground laboratory HADES is now operated by ESV EURIDICE, an economic partnership between SCK CEN and NIRAS/ONDRAF.
