BNEN welcomes its largest intake of students in 25 years
Twenty-five years ago, nuclear research centre SCK CEN and 5 – subsequently 6 – Belgian universities set up the BNEN inter-university master-after-master programme. This programme is designed to ensure a steady stream of new nuclear engineers and to safeguard Belgium’s nuclear expertise in the long term. Today, that remit is more relevant than ever. This is reflected in the enrolment figures: more students than ever are choosing BNEN.
Nuclear job fair
A Nuclear Job Fair will be organised at UHasselt on February 26, 2026, and aims at introducing science and engineering students to available advanced education and training in nuclear themes, PhD and post-doc opportunities and to available jobs in nuclear industry, healthcare, governmental organizations and research centres.
